St Albans hosts its historic Charter Market every Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM along St Peter’s Street. There are as many as 150 stalls on this day, one of the largest in the southeast. If history is your thing then you may want to visit The St Albans Museum & Gallery that houses over 2000 years of priceless heritage or The Verulamium Museum the award winning museum showcasing many wonderful artefacts from when St Albans was the site of the third largest city of Roman Britain, see some of the finest Roman Mosaics outside of the Mediterranean region. There are plenty of good eateries to find lunch.
