Overview
Your afternoon starts with a hearty two course lunch at The Waterside Inn in Ware. There are several choices of meal, all dietary requirements are catered for. You will then board the boat directly from the restaurant’s private garden terrace. On the cruise you will pass the unique Ware gazebos that overhang the river’s edge cruising through the contrasting town centre and the beautiful Lee Valley‘s Amwell Nature Reserve which attract ducks, gulls, and waders. Seven species of warbler also breed here in addition to good populations of reed bunting, meadow pipit and skylark. The Cruise travels down to Stanstead Abbotts before returning to Ware Town Quay. The cruise lasts approximately two and a half hours and you will be able to see the crew expertly taking you through an original working lock at Hardmead for a truly unique experience. On board there are two toilets, tables and chairs for everyone and a fully licensed bar for any refreshments. They accept both cash and card payments.
