Throughout the year we operate an extremely interesting and varied programme of day tours, not only to the theatre, ballet and opera but also to stately homes, gardens, galleries and concerts.
A great deal of planning goes in to arranging our day tours and we are proud of the reputation we have built for organising particularly imaginative trips.
Some of our destinations are not open to the general public and we often make use of specialist guides to ensure members gain the most from their day. On theatre trips we always purchase the best seats available.
We send out a newsletter approximately every 6-8 weeks with details of the next series of events. Special events and holiday information are mailed out at other times.
Membership Fees
The membership year commences on 1st August each year. If you wish to join us partway through the year we do adjust the fee. Guests are welcome on most trips upon payment of a small supplement.

Catchment Area
Our members come from a wide area bordered by Robertsbridge and Wadhurst to the east, Herstmonceux and Eastbourne to the south, Haywards Heath to the west and Felbridge and Southborough to the north. We also have members from around the country who join us for holidays.
Financial Security (Overnight Tours)
We take this aspect of our commitment to our members very seriously. Every year we submit financial information to our insurers for inspection and undergo a compliance check by ITC Compliance Limited on behalf of the Financial Conduct Authority. We are very proud of our compliance record particularly as the costs involved for a small business are not insignificant.
JG Theatre Club is an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (their registration number is 313486) and which is permitted to advise on and arrange general insurance contracts.
In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations 1992” customers of JG Theatre Club will be indemnified in respect of their net ascertained financial loss sustained arising from the cancellation or curtailment of the declared trip travel arrangements arising solely from the event of the financial failure of JG Theatre Club.
This insurance has been arranged by Travel & General Insurance Services Limited on behalf of Towergate Chapman Stevens through HCCI International Insurance Company PLC.
Coach Travel
The specification includes: Reclining seats with seat belts, seat back tables and magazine nets: double glazed tinted windows: fridge and hot drinks facilities: freshwater toilet and washroom: climate control and supplementary heating system. Safety features include: ABS anti-skid control: emergency brake assist and lane departure warning.
All our coaches are Mercedes Benz and undergo six weekly safety inspections at a Mercedes Benz workshop facility. In the unlikely event of a problem on the road we also have Europe wide 24hr Mercedes Benz emergency breakdown cover and a large network of operators to call on. We operate Low Emission Euro 6 coaches that can enter all the current low emission and clean air zones without restriction or penalty.
