Overview
A hilltop haven in the heart of Essex. This peaceful garden offers wide-open skies and far reaching views, and some 360 acres to explore. Originally a farm, gifted to the RHS 25 years ago, it features a beautiful hilltop garden, rose garden, woodland, meadows and pasture which seamlessly stretches into the vast open countryside. Highlights include the fascinating Mediterranean inspired Dry Garden which showcases an array of drought tolerant plants and there is also a superb Global Growth Vegetable Garden featuring fruit and vegetables from around the world. The rose gardens are a summer highlight as well as the fiesta of colour in the herbaceous border with its five colour themed bays. There are 3 cafés on site where you can get refreshments.
