Overview

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS at the DOMINION THEATRE, LONDON. Experience the theatrical event of 2017 as this stunning reimagining of the Oscar® winning film AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (acclaimed by The New York Times as “a perfect integration of dance, romance and classic Gershwin”) arrives at the West End’s beautifully refurbished Dominion Theatre , featuring the original, award-winning Broadway stars Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope.  Performed by a company of over 50 actors, dancers and musicians, and directed and choreographed by Olivier and Tony® Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon, this celebrated production played a sold out, world premiere engagement at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris before transferring triumphantly to Broadway, where it became the most awarded musical of the year.  ‘Jerry Mulligan is an American GI striving to make it as a painter in a city suddenly bursting with hope and possibility. Following a chance encounter with a beautiful young dancer named Lise, the streets of Paris become the backdrop to a sensuous, modern romance of art, friendship and love in the aftermath of war…’. Time for lunch prior to performance.
