Overview

.  Julie Haylock-Sherry is the Chocolate Lady. Although she has been a chocolate maker for 28 years her adventure blossomed when her homemade after-dinner chocolates were served to a guest who liked them so much he asked where they came from so he could serve them in his restaurant. This special guest was Steven Saunders the famous chef! On finding out that Julie made the chocolates herself, Steven asked her to supply them to his restaurant. For a period of 10 years, Julie was the BBC Radio’s ‘Cambridgeshire Farmhouse Cook’ and she is a regular contributer to BBC Local Radio channels and the Satellite TV Shopping Channels where she demonstrates chocolate making and equipment. We begin with time for lunch in Saffron Walden before our 2.30pm visit.  You will enjoy an introduction and demonstration of chocolate making techniques and tips which you can try at home. After the demonstration we enjoy a cream tea.
