Overview
We arrive at midday for the best fish & chip lunch (let me know if you need the vegetarian option) in London before our guided coach tour of Royal London with a top notch Blue Badge Tour Guide, telling the story of where the Royals have lived and loved in London over the past 1000 years. Lots of great stories and anecdotes. For the first time ever The Garden at Buckingham Palace will open to visitors. We arrive for our 3pm entry and you will then be free to wander around the garden’s winding paths at your own pace and experience the beauty and calm of this walled oasis – the largest private garden in central London. Among the many features to discover are the 156-metre Herbaceous Border, the Horse Chestnut Avenue, the plane trees planted by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and the famous lake with its island that is home to the Buckingham Palace bees. You can purchase delicious refreshments from one of the many food stalls dotted around the Garden or bring your own food and drink. (Please note that no alcohol, sharp knives or glassware is allowed in the Garden).
