Monday 1st July

After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way to Cairnryan for our Stena fast ferry direct to Belfast. Time for lunch on board. We continue to our hotel in Coleraine.

Tuesday 2nd July

'The Most Beautiful Train Journey' Today we enjoy a train journey described by Michael Palin as being ‘one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world’. en-route from Coleraine to Derry, the track runs alongside the sands of one of the most unspoilt beaches in Ireland, whilst on the opposite side of the track, we pass the cliffs of Downhill and the impressive Binevenagh Mountain.  On arrival in Derry we enjoy a walking tour with a local guide before we spend time at leisure exploring this historic city.

Wednesday 3rd July

Bushmills Distillery & Giants Causeway.  We experience stunning scenery today during our drive along the Antrim Coast to the Old Bushmills Distillery. Here we enjoy a guided tour (please note, there are numerous steps and stairs). We continue on to the extraordinary Giant’s Causeway NT and its award winning Visitor Centre. There is a shuttle bus available that runs down to the causeway if you don’t wish to walk.

Thursday 4th July

Glenarm Castle & the Antrim Coast Road.  This morning, we visit one of Northern Ireland’s oldest and most beautiful estates, Glenarm Castle. We explore the beautiful walled garden in its incomparable setting by the sea before we return to our hotel along the spectacular Antrim coast.

Friday 5th July

Today we make our way into Belfast City where we are joined by a local guide. Our guide will show us around this historic city that has endured its share of terrible times. You will see familiar names such as The Shanklin Road and Crumlin Road as we tour around. This is a fascinating tour. This afternoon we visit The Titanic Exhibition. The Titanic Belfast visitor attraction extends over nine galleries, with multiple dimensions to the exhibition. Drawing together special effects, dark rides, full-scale reconstructions and innovative interactive features you will explore the Titanic story in a fresh and insightful way from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage and catastrophic demise. The journey goes beyond the aftermath of the sinking, to the discovery of the wreck and continues into the present day in the Ocean Exploration Centre.

Saturday 6th July
